Shearers

(right) Sharon Bramblett shears Kimmie.

(below, right) Siesta "chutes" herself for shearing in anticipation of receiving special treats.

The shearers listed below are more experienced and have more practical equipment than Sharon's home-made chute.

Are you willing to shear only llamas that are brought to your ranch?
Yes, this is our prefered method.  Our facilties are enclosed with concrete floors, fans and AC.  Incoming animals are quarantined from Ranch herd.  Equipped with new digital scales and on-site lab.  Halters, Health Supplies, and Magazines in stock.  Dr. David Corley, Camelid Veterinarian in close proximity, can be booked at our barn for health related matters and gelding procedures. We have been shearing llamas since  2001.

Are you willing to travel to owners in your area?
Will travel if circumstances merit.

I will shear llamas either at my home or will travel short distances.   I prefer to shear at home because I have a chute and fans to keep the  llamas cool during shearing.  Along with shearing I provide worming,  toenail trimming, fighting teeth removal, and a sunscreen application  after shearing.  Please call or email for an appointment.
